Congratulations to our Elementary Cool Cat award winners for September and October! We celebrated them with an assembly in the cafeteria with all elementary classrooms and the students' families. The classroom teacher presented each student with their award and spoke about why they received it. The students who received the awards received a "Cool Cat" cookie and a book, donated by the Parent's Club.

Please see the ransomware status update from Kevin Oxley, Superintendent of Jackson County ISD.
Good Afternoon,
I’m writing to provide an important update on school operating status for tomorrow, Wednesday, 16, 2022.
While we have made tremendous progress on our restoration efforts since our last update, we still have some work to do to ensure every system is safe and secure before bringing them back online. The security of our learning environment is a top priority and any attempt to rush this process could unfortunately put our networks at additional risk.
Unfortunately, until this restoration process is completed, schools will remain closed for tomorrow, Wednesday, November 16, 2022. We ask that you please continue to refrain from using any school-issued devices until the network is deemed secure.
We have top cybersecurity experts on site who are continuing to work around the clock to resolve this situation and we hope to have additional updates to share soon. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your patience and understanding.
Sincerely,
Kevin Oxley
Superintendent, Jackson County Intermediate School District
